California’s Proposed Bill to Broaden the Scope of Electronic Devices Subject to RoHS-like RestrictionsMarch 7, 2006 USA - California - Restricted Substances OverviewOn February 22, 2006, California Assembly Member Saldana introduced A.B. 2202, a bill that would expand the types of products subject to RoHS-like restrictions in California. California law currently prohibits the sale of certain types of electronic video display devices containing lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium after January 1, 2007.
