European Union - Restricted Substances OverviewQuestion:The EU has effectively banned desiccants that contain DMF (dimethylfumarate) through Commission Decision 2009/251/EC. It appears some member states are already applying more restrictive requirements; Italy is requiring either a statement that "No desiccant is contained inside" or a detailed chemical analysis of the desiccant if it is contained, and that analysis must be approved by a local health authority.
