Question:

Could you clarify the requirements of RoHS on refurbished equipment. Can new equipment that was leased to a customer before July 1, 2006 and returned back to the manufacturer when the contract expires after July 1, 2006 be refurbished by "repair as produced" and then leased again as refurbished equipment without having RoHS compliant components? If so, can the refurbishment/repair work be completed outside the EU and the refurbished equipment be brought back into the EU to be leased again by possibly a different end-user?
