The Worldwatch Institute, a non-governmental organization based in Washington, D.C., recently issued its report, Vital Signs 2002. The report, funded in part by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), provides an overview of what the Institute views as key global environmental trends, from energy use, climate change and agricultural production.
