New Hampshire Legislature Sends Mercury Bill to Governor

USA - New Hampshire - Mercury compounds

One of two bills regulating mercury-added products pending before the New Hampshire Senate this term has been approved and will be sent to Governor Lynch for his signature. On May 17, 2007, the New Hampshire Senate passed H.B. 907, “An Act relative to the sale and distribution of certain mercury-added products.” (see link below)
No Senate action has been taken on a second bill related to mercury-added products, H.B. 416 (see link below), after the public hearing held May 3, 2007. The Senate may vote on this bill as early as next week, after the Energy, Environment and Economic Development Committee issues its report. The House has already passed H.B. 416.
