Norway Takes Further Initiatives In Respect of Brominated Flame RetardantsSeptember 25, 2007 Norway - Flame retardants compoundsNorway has taken further initiatives in respect of brominated flame retardants. In addition to a proposal to ban penta-BDE pursuant to the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants (POPs), Norway is also seeking information on brominated flame retardants from importers of electronics into Norway.
In 2002, Norway adopted an action plan for the reduction of emissions of brominated flame retardants (BFRs), which was updated in 2005.
