France - Restricted Substances Overview

France has implemented the RoHS Directive through Decree No. 2005-829, which implements both the WEEE and RoHS Directives. The summary of the Decree below focuses on (i) issues that were left open by the EU legislature or require specific national measures and (ii) provisions that appear to deviate from or supplement the Directive’s regime. The exempted applications set forth in the RoHS Annex have been implemented through a several separate regulations.
