Denmark Adopts Legislation Allowing the Transposition of the EU Battery Directive

On 12 June 2008, the Danish Parliament has adopted a proposal for amendments of the Act on Environmental Protection ("Miljøbeskyttelsesloven"). The proposal authorizes the Minister of Environment to adopt a regulation to implement the EU Battery Directive (Directive 2006/66 on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators).
