Argentina - New Comprehensive Packaging Bill in CongressAugust 10, 2008 Argentina - Packaging and LabelingA new comprehensive packaging bill presented in Argentina's Chamber of Deputies calls for mandatory manufacturer/importer responsibility for a broad range of packaging and packaging wastes (Bill 3750-D-2008 or the "Bill"). Although the Bill would require future regulations to implement many of its provisions, the broad scope of the initiative and the focus on extended producer responsibility make it worth noting.
