Transposition of the EU Battery Directive in Luxembourg Moves Ahead

Luxembourg - Batteries

The Parliament of Luxembourg is discussing a draft of the measure that will transpose the EU Battery Directive (Directive 2006/66 on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators). The Ministry of Environment of Luxembourg published draft legislation on 7 July, 2008. The draft is expected to be finalized and voted on in the Parliament before the end of August 2008.
