On September 29, 2008, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law Assembly Bill 1879 (“AB 1879”) and Senate Bill 509 (“SB 509”), launching a comprehensive state program to identify, evaluate, and regulate hazardous chemicals and products containing them.
