Malta - Product Take-Back

Malta has implemented the WEEE and the RoHS Directives through the following acts: (i) L.N.63 of 2007 Environment Protection Act, Waste (Electric and Electronic Equipment) Regulations, 2007 ("WEEE Regulations"); and (II) LN. 396 0f 2004 - Restriction of Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2004, which has been amended several times.

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA), is the ‘Competent Authority' for purposes of enforcing the WEEE Regulations.
