China - Restricted Substances Overview

This special update will be posted on the EIATRACK site this week. The update reviews upcoming issues related to the status of the Priority Catalogue for the Prevention of Pollution in Electronic Information Products (the "Catalogue"), including the recent promulgation of the Procedures for Formulating the Priority Catalogue for the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products. This "Procedures" document actually sets forth brief criteria and procedures that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT, formerly MII) will employ to list electronic information products and finalize future batches of the Catalogue.
