Bill Would Require Management Plan for All Hazardous E-Wastes in Mexico

Mexico - Hazardous Waste, Product Take-Back

A new bill in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies seeks to make all hazardous e-wastes subject to Waste Management Plans. The Bill strikes at what has been a confusing issue since the General Waste Law’s inception in 2003 – whether a Management Plan will be required for producers and importers and distributors of any hazardous end-of-life products. See Link for more details.) The intent of the Bill is to subject all hazardous EOL electric and electronic products to EPR plans.
