Chile Moving Forward with National Green Purchasing Policy

Chile - Design for Environment, Product Take-Back

Chile recently confirmed its commitment to develop a National Green Purchasing Policy during a three-day workshop for government representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay held May 26-28, 2009 in Santiago. Chile promised a draft National Green Purchasing Policy by the second half of 2009. As reported in April, the “green purchasing” initiatives are intrinsically linked to Chile’s e-waste agenda.
