Vermont Enacts Flame Retardants Legislation

USA - Vermont - Restricted Substances Overview

On June 2, 2009, Vermont Governor Jim Douglas (R) signed into law House Bill 444 ("H. 444"), which restricts the use, sale and distribution of certain products containing "penta," "octa," and "deca" bromodiphenyl ethers (penta-, octa- and deca-BDE). The law broadly applies to electronic products containing penta-, octa- and deca-BDEs.
