Brazil - Packaging and Labeling, Restricted Substances Overview

As part of its continuing international commitments, Brazil's standard-setting organization (ABNT) recently adopted new standards that follow the UN's Globally Harmnoized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals ("GHS"). The new standards, which will be for sale from ABNT, have not yet been published, but as they are implemented over the coming twelve to eighteen months, manufacturers and importers may be impacted.
