International - Restricted Substances Overview
Chris Cleet, ITI, Jackson Morrill, Beveridge & Diamond, and Andrea Fava, Intel, recently gave this presentation to ITI members. The presentation provides a brief overview of global initiatives addressing chemicals in electronic products, including in particular the UNEP Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM). It begins with a brief overview of efforts to regulate chemicals used in electronics and then delves into a discussion of international efforts to manage chemicals and explores involvement options for industry.
