Battery Bills in Argentine Senate

Argentina - Batteries

Three different battery bills have been presented this session in the Argentine Senate: S-0601/04 (the “Saadi Bill”), S-0276/04 (the “Arancio de Beller Bill”), and S-0775/04 (the “Muller Bill”). The texts of the latter two are now available for review. The text of the Saadi Bill has not yet been released to the public. Based on these bills, it appears that extended producer solutions for battery wastes are gaining momentum in Argentina.
