Colorado Amends Universal Waste Rule to Include Electronic Devices

On June 18, 2001, the Colorado State Hazardous Waste Commission voted to adopt the amendments to Colorado’s Universal Waste Rule ("UWR") as proposed by the Department of Public Health and the Environment. The Commission adopted the language of the draft rule, as posted on EIA Reg Tracking Tool. The amendments become effective 20 days after publication in the Colorado Register, which occurred on July 10, 2001, so the regulations are effective on July 30, 2001.
