Manitoba Publishes Electronic Equipment Stewardship Discussion Paper and Sponsors Stakeholder Consultation

Canada - Manitoba - Product Take-Back

The Province of Manitoba last month released a “Discussion Paper” and held a stakeholder consultation regarding the government’s intention to adopt a product stewardship regulation that would cover electronic equipment. The Discussion Paper included a proposed Model Stewardship Regulation that would require “stewards” of material designated under the regulation to operate or subscribe to a designated waste stewardship program.
