Introduction

Missouri has joined the states that restrict the use of certain toxic substances in electronic products.

Toxics in Packaging Legislation:
Missouri has adopted legislation modeled after the Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation which regulates packaging containing cadmium, chromium, lead, and mercury.

Mercury-Specific Legislation:
Missouri has enacted restrictions on the sale of certain mercury batteries.

Defined Restrictions:
Mercury: Restriction on the sale of certain mercury-containing batteries.
Packaging: Regulated metals must be below 100 ppm for each package or packaging component.
