Introduction

In the state of California there are four laws that restrict lead in products or product packaging:

  1. The Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003;

  2. The Dry Cell Battery Management Act;

  3. The Toxics in Packaging Prevention Act; and,

  4. The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65).
