Introduction

In Italy EU requirements on azo dyes are transposed into national law via Presidential Decree No. 904 implementing Council Directive 76/769/EEC on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations of 22 February 1994 and the Amendment of 12.03.2003 Gazzetta Ufficiale della Repubblica Italiana No. 96, 26 April 2003.
