Introduction
Maryland has joined the states that restrict the use of certain toxic substances in electronic products.
Toxics in Packaging Legislation:
Maryland has adopted legislation modeled after the Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation which regulates packaging containing cadmium, chromium, lead, and mercury.
Defined Restrictions:
Regulated metals must be below 100 ppm for each package or packaging component.
