Introduction

Mexico is a Party to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Waste and requires notification and consent for both the import and export of hazardous waste. Mexico has not yet ratified or signed the Basel Ban Amendment or the Protocol on Liability and Compensation.
