Introduction

In Sweden EU requirements on nickel are transposed into national law via The Swedish Chemicals Agency’s Chemical Products and Biotechnical Organisms Regulations (1998:8); KIFS 1998:8, last amended by 2007:6 (English translation)".

Defined Restrictions:
0.2 microgram/cm2/week (migration limit) for items pierced into the human body
0.5 microgr.am/cm2/week in articles coming into direct and prolonged contact with skin.
