Introduction
In Italy EU requirements on nickel are transposed into national law via "Presidential Decree No. 904 implementing Council Directive 76/769/EEC on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations. Date of consolidation/reprint: 22 February 1994; Last amend. 20.03.1997".
Defined Restrictions:
0.2 microgram/cm2/week (migration limit) for items pierced into the human body
0.5 microgram/cm2/week in articles coming into direct and prolonged contact with skin.
