Introduction
In the Czech Republic currently one product-related restriction applicable to the product scope of the database applies:
- Restriction of lead in packaging materials (transposition of Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste).
- Lead prohibition in electronics
The Czech Republic has implemented the EC Directive that imposes restrictions applying to chemical constituents of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), i.e. the RoHS Directive (Directive 2002/95). This report discusses the Czech legislation that implements the RoHS Directive.
The Czech Republic has also adopted legislation to implement Directive 76/769/EEC on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations.
Defined Restrictions:
Packaging: 100 ppm for sum of heavy metals (lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, and cadmium)
Electronics: 0.1%
