Introduction

In Lithuania EU requirements on nickel are transposed into national law via "DĖL lietuvoshigienos normos hn 36:2002 „Draudžiamos ir ribojamos medžiagos“ Pakeitimo; 28.03.2003 Nr. V-182 (Implementation of Directive 76/769/EEC and later amendments)".

Defined Restrictions:
0.2 microgram/cm2/week (migration limit) for items pierced into the human body
0.5 microgram/cm2/week in articles coming into direct and prolonged contact with skin.
