Introduction
Vermont has adopted legislation mandating minimum efficiency standards for certain appliances sold in Vermont, including certain lamps and AC to DC power supplies. "An Act Relating to Establishing Energy Efficiency Standards for Certain Appliances" also incorporates testing, certification, labeling and enforcement provisions. The Act is codified at 9 V.S.A § 2791 et. seq. Numerous requirements are to be adopted by rules issued by the Department of Environmental Conservation ("DEC").
