Introduction

On May 24, 2006, New Hampshire Governor John Lynch signed into law “An Act Relative to the Disposal of Video Display Devices” (House Bill 1455) (see link below) that prohibits the disposal of video display devices in any landfill or incinerator effective July 1, 2007. The bill also directed the Department of Environmental Services to monitor and participate in any regional initiatives regarding the financing and disposal of electronic wastes. The Department issued a report (see link below) on these efforts in November 2006.
