Introduction
Used or discarded electronic products are subject to regulation as hazardous wastes in Oregon to the extent that they exhibit hazardous characteristics. In addition, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality adopted an interim policy concerning the recycling of equipment containing cathode ray tubes (“CRTs”) which will remain in effect until at least June 2009, when the state is scheduled to adopt the federal CRT rule.
