Introduction
The Rhode Island Electronic Waste Prevention, Reuse and Recycling Act, House Bill 7789, became law without the Governor's signature on July 7, 2006. In addition to the disposal ban, the law also directs the Department of Environmental Management ("Department") to study and report back to the legislature regarding establishment of a collection, recycling and reuse program for CEPs in Rhode Island.
