Introduction

New Hampshire has joined the states that restrict the use of certain toxic substances in electronic products.

1. Toxics in Packaging Legislation:
   New Hampshire has adopted legislation modeled after the Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation which regulates packaging containing cadmium, chromium, lead, and mercury.



2. Mercury-Specific Legislation:
   New Hampshire has adopted legislation that bans the sale of certain mercury-containing products in the state. The legislation also requires manufacturers of mercury-added products to notify the state about how much mercury is contained in their products.
