Introduction
Oregon has joined the states that restrict the use of certain toxic substances in electronic products.
- Mercury-Specific Restrictions:
Oregon restricts the sale or distribution of certain mercury-containing products and imposes labeling requirements. - Flame Retardant Restrictions:
Oregon also restricts the sale or distribution of certain products containing more than one tenth of one percent by mass of the brominated flame retardants pentabrominated diphenyl ether (“penta BDE”) or octabrominated diphenyl ether (“octa BDE”).
